The school year is off and running. I’ve started Speech-Language therapy with my Kansas schools. I start tomorrow with one of my British Columbia schools. I also have students in New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and Mariana Islands. One of my favorite TinyEYE activities is the drawing board. The kids really enjoy it too, though some find it difficult to operate.

Fear
Some people see her going left and some see her going right. I saw her stop and go the other way, but another person watching her didn’t see it happen.
**************************************************************************************
More often than I used to
I can feel the fear start rising.
In a heartbeat, up it spirals,
and can sear me through the gut.
But more often than I used to
I can sway the other way,
And twist the swirling fear away.

Dear Journal,
I have kept diaries and journals most of my life. Along with them I’ve also kept scrapbook type stuff. They are in a big cardboard box now, but I am going through them and condensing and throwing away most of the scrapbook junk. I hope to house them permanently in my filing cabinet, but I’ll have to throw away a bunch of junk in that to make room for them.

Pics from the Hood
I finally went for a walk today around my neighborhood, with my camera.
There is a ball field almost outside my window, but it’s not the one where the fireworks are let off.
One of the things I like the best about this neighborhood, is all of the playgrounds there are within a very short distance. I have yet to play on any of the equipment though.
This one above is a really big one, but you can’t see much of it through the fence.
The one below is my favorite one.
Especially because just to the left of it, is
THE POOL. I can’t wait till it’s open. Doesn’t look like it will be on Memorial Day.Another really nice thing about this neighborhood is that it is close to a river. I love water.
The picture below is the nice walkway that runs along side the river. There’s even a nice place to fish.
And I had to capture these beauties too.
Have a nice Memorial Day everyone.

I do love my mother
Even though I was too cheap to buy a card, and didn’t get this one I made into the mail until today, I do love my mother.
The next picture has nothing to do with Mother’s Day. It’s the view from my bedroom window. That bright light to the right of the building is fireworks that go off every Friday night when there is a home baseball game, until the end of the summer. I’d like to go out somewhere that we can see them closer up sometime.
Thank God it’s Friday and I hope everyone has a great weekend. *g*

My God Can
You may have heard of the idea of a God can, which is to write down problems you don’t know what to do about, pray and ask God to help you with them, then put them in the can and forget about them. I made a God can many years ago, and from time to time I’ve used it in other ways also. And, I almost always have a List of things I have to get done. Not long ago I wrote out a new List and was having a terrible time getting started on any of it. So I cut the list into strips, spiraled them, and put them in my God can. The spirals on the outside of the can are the ones I’ve picked and accomplished so far. Still lots to get done.
